What is a Transflective Display?
Transflective display is a type of LCD glass technology that has a reflective layer built into it. This reflective layer allows the LCD to use the ambient light as the light source to let the users see the display content on the glass. A backlight is not necessary and it can save a lot of power for the device, since the backlight is the most power consuming component in the LCD module. It is ideal for battery power devices used in outdoor environment.

Pros:
- It can achieve Ultra Lower Power in terms of TFT
- Dynamic refresh rate is available
- Capable to display video playback compared to ePaper
Cons:
- Limited to 200 PPI or lower
- Only available in standard extended temperature of -20 to 70C
